About Konrady Psychological Services

Welcome! I’m Dr. Sarah Konrady. I’m a licensed psychologist native to South Dakota. Prior to completing my PhD in School Psychology at the University of Iowa, I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SDSU. I’ve been providing services in Sioux Falls for a decade, and I love this community and the support that we offer one another here in the Midwest.

That support is what I strive to deliver within my practice at Konrady Psychological Services. My mission is to ensure that you leave my office feeling seen, heard, and valued. The goal of our time together is to provide some answers to the questions that you and your doctor may have about how your brain works. I may be your first stop in that journey, or your visit may be a piece of the puzzle that you’ve been working on for a while.

Wait. What is Neuropsychology, again?

If you are unsure of what neuropsychology is, don’t worry! Unless you or a loved one has participated in a neuropsychological evaluation, you may have little understanding about why it is that you’re here. That’s okay! I’m here to guide you through the process and answer your questions along the way. Neuropsychology assesses the relation between a person’s brain and their behavior. We have a lot of ways to assess this. We will discuss those methods during your intake interview and ensure that you are comfortable with the process.

Who Needs Neuropsychological Testing ?

A neuropsychological evaluation is helpful for learning about the function of the brain. Dr. Konrady assesses individuals across the lifespan (ages 6+), so people typically arrive with a wide variety of questions. Some of the reasons a person may seek services include:

  • Changes in memory and/or cognition

  • Difficulty learning and retaining information

  • Problems focusing and maintaining attention

  • Emotional distress

  • Behavioral concerns

  • Difficulties at work/school

  • Concerning family history (i.e., family history of dementia)

  • To obtain a baseline of current function

  • To determine ability to continue to work

  • Decisions related to level of care and support needed within the home

  • For worker’s compensation purposes
